KANG Ki Hyun, Ph.D student of Technology Management Economics and Policy Program at SNU College of Engineering, was awarded the grand prize of International Association for Management of Technology (IAMOT) 2011.

KANG wrote a paper titled"External Technology Sourcing & Internal R&D Capabilities", which explains how the 'Open Innovation Strategy (where inner R&D investments are ignored and only outside technologies are accepted)' actually harms a company's innovative abilities.
