Number of recipients: approx. 160 students
Subsidies: tuition fee, living expenses, airfare, and housing cost
* The amount of subsidies vary depending on individual circumstances.
Language training support can be offered for those who seek to master Korean Language
Additional funding can be offered for those who require academic support

International students from the developing countries in the DAC list of ODA Recipients
Subsidies
Subsidized period: maximum of 4 semesters for Masters' students, and 6 semesters for Ph. D students
The level of subsidy is determined by Samsung Dreams Scholarship Foundation

January and July
Selection Procedure
Students submit applications to SNU’s Office of International Affairs → The Office makes the first selection → Samsung Foundation conduct reviews and interviews → Final selection

Applicants from the countries in the ‘Silk-Road’ region who want to study humanities or social sciences, including Korean language, history, culture, politics, and economics
Number of Recipients
About 5 new graduate students
Subsidies
Tuition fee: full tuition fee exemption for a maximum of 4 semesters
Living expenses: maximum of 600,000 KRW per month for 4 semesters
Airfare: maximum of 1 million KRW for one economy round trip
Korean language training fee: fee exemption at the Language Education Institute
Application Period
During admission period for international students every Fall semester
Selection Procedure
Applicants who submit admission application to SNU’s Office of Admissions → Applicants submit scholarship application to SNU’s Office of International Affairs → Selection made by respective Colleges/Schools based on the admission documents → Decision noticed

Subsidies
Tuition fee: full tuition exemption
Dormitory fees (subsidized by SNU)
Living expenses: 500,000 KRW per month

Applicants submit applications to respective College → Colleges make the first selection → SNU’s Office of International Affairs makes the second selection → Korean War Memorial Foundation makes the confirmation → Decisions announced
