TEACH ENGLISH AT THE BEST UNIVERSITY IN KOREA!
Position: Annually renewable full-time instructorship (no limit to the number of renewals)
Organization: Medical Campus Branch of Language Education Institute, Seoul National University
Location: Daehangno, Seoul, Republic of Korea
The Language Education Institute at Seoul National University is now hiring a new full-time instructor to teach non-credit English courses for the students, faculty, and staff members at the scenic medical campus of the university located in the heart of seoul.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master’s degree from an English-speaking country, preferably in biology or related major
2. Dedicated, responsible person who loves to teach and can work with us for many years to come
3. A BS or BA will be qualified, too, if the applicant has a minimum of three-year teaching experience at the college level.
BASE SALARY
1. Monthly base salary of 2,470,000 KRW (approx. equivalent. 1,700 USD) for the holder of a bachelor’s degree and of 2,670,000 KRW (approx. equivalent to 1,800 USD) for the holder of a master’s degree
2. Ample opportunities to earn overtime.
BENEFITS

2. Free on- or off-campus housing or a housing allowance of 500,000 to 700,000 KRW per month
3. Severance payment at the end of each contract year

REMINDER
In addition to the application material, the finalist will be required to submit the following documents before he or she signs the contract under the Korean immigration law:
1. Certificate of academic degree: original diploma, photocopy of original diploma verified and signed by a Korean consul, or certificate of degree officially issued by the degree-granting institution
2. Criminal record check certified by an appostille, notarized by a notary public, or issued directly by a Korean embassy/consulate
(For Canadian citizens, the criminal record check must include “vulnerable sector screening.”)
3. Sealed copy of official academic transcripts
Since the immigration process may take considerable time, we advise applicants to prepare these documents in advance.
