Intercultural Dialogue on the Human Rights of China (The SNU ISDPR)

The SNU Institute for Social Development and Policy Research is hosting a seminar on “Human Rights in China” as stated below. For those who wish to attend, please send an e-mail to isdpr@snu.ac.kr by 5:00 PM, Wednesday, May 11th. This would be a great opportunity for those interested in the human rights situation in China, as our lecturers are renowned for their work on the subject. We look forward to your participation.

First Lecture:"Human Rights Education at Beijing University, China"
Lecturer: Prof. Bai Guimei (Vice President of the Beijing University Research Center of Human Rights)

Second Lecture:"Chinese Perspectives on Human Rights"
Lecturer: Prof. Per Sevastik (Raoul Wallenberg Institute, Sweden; currently a visiting scholar at Beijing University)
Professor Sevastik has also done research work on human rights in Vietnam, the Philippines, Laos and other countries. He is currently working to promote academic exchanges between Chinese universities on human rights research work.

Third Lecture:"A Symptomatic Reading of the Chinese Focus on Human Rights"
Lecturer: Prof. Han Sang-Jin (Honorary Prof. of SNU, Visiting Scholar at Beijing University)
