▶ Specific Details for Experience@Singapore Electronics (IC Designers), 1- 5 February 2010
Contact Singapore is planning to organize an Experience@Singapore program for Korean students
in February 2010:
Target group for the program:
• This program will be targeted at Masters and PhD. students with a background in computer/electrical & electronics engineering, specifically in the area of IC design. • We are aiming to take in a total of about 20 students from across the various top engineering colleges in Korea.
Objective of the program:
•To educate students from Korean engineering colleges on the opportunities in the electronics sector in Singapore, as well as on what it is like to live and work there. Students will also get a chance to speak with the recruitment personnel from the companies that are hiring, and can take the opportunity to seek job placements.
Program Outline:
•The program will involve the students coming over to Singapore for 4-5 days, where they will visit major electronics companies in Singapore that are looking for IC designers, and have networking opportunities with the companies that are hiring IC designers. Besides that, a tour will also be conducted so as to educate the students about what it is like to live and work in Singapore.
