We are pleased to announce this week's speaker for the SNU Data Science Seminar:
Dr. Ikseong Kang, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Departments of Physics and Neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley.
In this talk, Dr. Kang will introduce cutting-edge neuroscience techniques that leverage machine learning to study the brain. His work focuses on integrating physics and machine learning to advance brain imaging technologies.
Dr. Kang received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. George Barbastathis. He is currently conducting postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley, where he combines adaptive optical microscopy and machine learning for neuroscience applications.
