Recruitment for the 2025 Global SNU Contribution Corps (Summer Session)

The Center for Global Social Responsibility at Seoul National University (SNU) is committed to fulfilling the university’s social responsibilities and nurturing future leaders with both excellence and a spirit of contribution. As part of this mission, we are recruiting student members for the 2025 Global SNU Contribution Corps – Summer Session, which will be dispatched to Nepal, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and Peru for international social contribution activities.

Nepal, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Peru


3. Eligibility

Student Members: Undergraduate and graduate students at SNU interested in international social contribution
※ Students on a leave of absence are eligible but must be able to participate in all scheduled activities.

Advisory Members: SNU members (Master’s level or higher) or alumni holding a Master’s degree or above, OR alumni with at least three years of relevant professional experience

Media Staff: Undergraduate and graduate students at SNU capable of producing a short video (approx. 3 min) and a longer documentary (approx. 10 min), as well as a photobook

Alumni Members (Nepal only): SNU alumni currently working in healthcare-related fields or holding relevant professional licenses

Administrative Support Staff (Indonesia only): SNU graduate students available to provide administrative support during overseas dispatch


4. General Requirements (for all applicants)

  • In good physical and mental health, with no disqualifying factors for international travel (see country-specific details)

  • Able to attend all scheduled meetings and sessions (refer to country-specific announcements for details)

  • Passionate and willing to fully engage in all program activities

  • Open-minded, flexible, and adaptable to new environments and cultures

  • Committed to continuing social contribution and volunteer activities after the program

  • Interested in international development cooperation and local community service

6. Participation Fee

  • Nepal, Uzbekistan, Indonesia: KRW 800,000

  • Peru: KRW 1,200,000


7. Country-Specific Activities (Overview)

Nepal: “SNU Contribution Corps with Alumni”

  • In cooperation with Kathmandu University medical students and SNU alumni, provide arts, physical education, and cultural activities for students (elementary to high school) in underprivileged schools near Kathmandu

  • Conduct health and hygiene education and physical development assessments for students

Uzbekistan

  • Collaborate with local universities in Samarkand to carry out educational programs for children in local kindergartens

  • Hold seminars with early childhood education professionals

  • Offer cultural and educational activities (e.g., arts, physical education, Korean history) and one-day volunteering events for ethnic Koreans

Indonesia (with Samick Musical Instruments)

  • Work with Mataram University to support out-of-school and unemployed youth in Lombok through Korean language and computer skills training

  • Help establish local systems for employment and entrepreneurship capacity building

  • Conduct a closing ceremony for program participants

Peru

  • Collaborate with the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru to deliver border-respect education, nutrition and hygiene lessons, a health fair, a public health campaign, and cultural sharing activities in educationally marginalized communities near Lima
