This is the Department of Korean Traditional Music at the College of Music.

We are delighted to invite members of Seoul National University to the 67th Regular Concert of the Department of Korean Traditional Music, titled “Connecting and Existing”, which will be held on May 3, 2025 (Saturday) at 7:00 PM at the Yeakdang Hall of the National Gugak Center.

“Connecting and Existing” embodies the spirit of the Department of Korean Traditional Music at SNU, which continues to explore and communicate through music by performing beautiful traditional music that we are devoted to “connecting” with, alongside contemporary creative compositions that “exist” around us. This regular concert reflects our commitment to bridging eras through musical exploration.

For this year’s concert, we will present an exciting blend of performances, including ensemble of Jeongak, solo performance of Daegeum Sanjo, vocal project, chamber ensemble for Ajaeng, geomungo concerto, ajaeng concerto, and orchestral Korean traditional music, showcasing the coexistence of tradition and creation and styles.

During the blossoming spring season, we have prepared a time to share heartfelt emotions through the deep resonance of Korean music, and we would be honored to have you join us.
