Hello,
We are Book-Sori, a student social contribution team under the SNU Global Social Responsibility(SNUSR). Our team name, "Book-Sori," symbolizes our mission to amplify the voices of individuals with a North Korean background (북, meaning "North," and 소리, meaning "voice") through "book" publication.
Over the past semester, we have collaborated with Banseok School, an alternative school for North Korean background youth, to conduct a 10-session writing and cultural exchange program. Through this initiative, these young individuals have shared their life stories, which we have now compiled into a book.
Though we may have been born in different places and walked different paths, we all breathe under the same sky. We invite you to listen to their voices and celebrate the beginning of their journey as published authors.
At the book launch event, we will have a reading session featuring the young authors, a book talk, and a signing event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase the book at a discounted price.
