The Contemporary Korean Studies at Seoul National University invites you to join the second session of its regular open seminar series, aimed at deepening the understanding of contemporary Korean society and promoting academic exchange.
For this seminar, we are honored to host Professor Stephan Haggard, Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of California, San Diego, who will present on the topic: “Korea and the New International Political Economy.”
The lecture will explore the challenges posed to Korea by recent shifts in the global political economy, including the erosion of multilateral norms, the growing consideration of security in trade policy, strategic trade policies, supply chain resilience, export and investment controls, and the resurgence of industrial policy.
We look forward to the active participation of SNU community members.
