Fully motorized Confocal Raman microscope Seminar

Jan 13, 2025

Raman spectroscopy is a non-destructive analytical technique used to measure unique molecular vibrations, rotations, or other low-energy transitions, providing insights into the chemical structure and properties of materials. This seminar offers a comprehensive overview of Raman spectroscopy, from fundamental principles to experimental applications, while providing hands-on experience with state-of-the-art analytical equipment and technologies.

In particular, the fully automated confocal Raman microscopy recently introduced at the Agricultural and Life Sciences Joint Equipment Institute is specialized for microplastic analysis. It enables rapid analysis of microplastics over 1 μm in various media, categorizing them by type and size distribution.

Participants will gain theoretical knowledge of Raman spectroscopy and observe the actual analytical process through live demonstrations, offering valuable insights into its application in research and industry. We look forward to your interest and participation.
