The Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University is pleased to host a special lecture titled "The relationship between gender equality and reproductive rights", featuring Professor Carole Petersen from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The event will take place on Monday, December 16, at 12:00 PM, in Room 203, Building 57.
Professor Carole J. Petersen is the Cades Foundation Chair at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and her research focuses on the impact of international human rights law.
Professor Petersen earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and her Juris Doctor (JD) from Harvard Law School. She also obtained a degree in Chinese Law from the University of Hong Kong. From 1989 to 2006, she taught law in Hong Kong and continues to visit the region regularly for her research, particularly in Asia.
In this lecture, Professor Petersen will present her recent research titled "The Impact of the Pandemic on Reproductive Autonomy and Gender Equality: Perspectives from the Sustainable Development Agenda."
