Presentation Title: Trends and Prospects for Standardization of AI Technologies in Healthcare

Abstract:

The healthcare sector is undergoing transformative changes with the adoption of AI technologies, expanding their applicability in various domains such as diagnosis, treatment, prognosis management, and personalized medicine. As a result, the importance of standardization to facilitate commercialization and global collaboration is increasingly emphasized. This presentation will explore the latest trends in healthcare AI technologies and key application cases, analyzing the activities and major standard developments of relevant international standardization organizations (e.g., IEC, ISO, JTC1, IMDRF). Particular focus will be placed on standardization issues related to the performance evaluation of AI-powered medical devices, safety and reliability assessment/management, and wearable technology. Additionally, it will address regulatory challenges and standardization tasks being discussed both domestically and internationally, as well as emerging considerations for advanced AI. Through this discussion, we aim to examine how healthcare AI technologies can transform the field, the paradigms they present, and the aspects that must be considered for the future of healthcare.
