Hello, this is the Center for Educational Research at Seoul National University.
Since the 5.31 Education Reform, funding programs based on evaluation have become deeply embedded in our higher education policy. The government, by combining evaluation with financial support, has established a powerful policy tool that has driven significant changes in universities. While this approach has accelerated institutional transformation, there are concerns that an overly influential policy tool has imposed various burdens on universities and led to unintended consequences.
In response, the Center for Educational Research has invited Dr. Bae Seong-geun from the Korea Student Aid Foundation to present a balanced perspective on the development and implementation of higher education policies through evaluation and financial support, from the Lee Myung-bak administration to the current government, and to discuss the impact of these policies on universities.
We invite the active interest and participation of all members, and please refer to the poster for more details.
